AMI Meter Replacement Project

Overview
The Project includes the replacement of 1,461 existing water meters with AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) meters throughout all areas of the Town. It also involves the installation and integration of AMI infrastructure, including the connection to the Town’s existing billing software. As part of the scope, the project will include the installation of a communication system that transmits data from the meters to a base station or repeater(s), located as directed by the Town.

Accepting Bids
Thursday, July 31, 2025
The Town of Jonesville, North Carolina is accepting sealed formal bids for the Jonesville – AMI Meter Replacement Project. All bids must be received by the Town of Jonesville no later than 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at Jonesville Town Hall. Project Funding
Funding for the project is provided by a Viable Utilities Reserve Program and a grant agreement with the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality. The grant total amount is $6,946,300, with a portion of the grant funds being allocated towards the Jonesville – Water Line Improvements Project.
